Charitable objects
SUBJECT AS AFORESAID THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE ANNUAL SUMS PAYABLE TO THE TRUSTEES UNDER DEEDS OF COVENANT AS HEREINBEFORE RECITED AND ALSO THE INCOME OF THE INVESTMENTS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND IN PERPETUITY FOR THE PURPOSE AWARDING A SCHOLARSHIP OR SCHOLARSHIPS TO YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN PRIMARILY EMPLOYED IN THE PRIVATE, PUBLIC OF THIRD SECTOR BETWEEN THE AGES OF 20 AND 35 AS AT 1ST SEPTEMBER OF THE YEAR IN WHICH THEY HAVE THEIR FINAL INTERVIEW WHO ARE RESIDENT OR EMPLOYED IN THE CITY OR COUNTY OF NOTTINGHAM TO ENABLE THEM TO VISIT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR A PERIOD OF NOT LESS THAN SIX WEEKS AND NOT MORE THAN THREE MONTHS OR FOR SUCH OTHER PERIOD AS MAY IN SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES BE DECIDED BY THE TRUSTEES FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING FURTHER EDUCATION IN RESPECT IN PARTICULAR OF THE HISTORY AND WAY OF LIFE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
