THE ORGANISATION'S PURPOSES (ALSO KNOWN AS `OBJECTS') ARE: 1. TO ADVANCE THE ISLAMIC FAITH IN CAMBERWELL, SOUTH LONDON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF A MOSQUE. 2. THE PROMOTION OF RELIGIOUS HARMONY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: (A) EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS BELIEFS INCLUDING AN AWARENESS OF ITS DISTINCTIVE FEATURES AND ITS COMMON GROUND TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT FAITHS; (B) PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECT OF THE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF ISLAMIC FAITH.
