THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DOCTRINES OF THE SHIA ITHNA-ASHERI JAFERI FAITH AS NARRATED AND INTERPRETED BY THE HOLY PROPHET MOHAMMED (PBUH & HP) AND THE IMAMS OF AHLUL BAYT (PBUT) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT INCLUSIVELY BY: 1.1 PROVIDING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN THE PRINCIPLES OF THE ISLAMIC FAITH; 1.2 PROMOTING RELIGIOUS HARMONY THROUGH INTERFAITH DIALOGUE AND ENCOURAGING MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECT OF THE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS FAITHS AND COMMUNITIES; 1.3. PROVIDING FOR ISLAMIC DAILY PRAYERS, MARRIAGE AND FUNERAL SERVICES, AND OTHER SERVICES REQUIRED BY THE COMMUNITY; 2. THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC; 3. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION; 4. THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH; AND/OR 5. THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN CHARITABLE NEED BECAUSE OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE.
