Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 1. TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH IN THE UK OR IN UGANDA THROUGH THE GIVING OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS, CHARITIES OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS; 2. TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE, BOTH IN THE UK AND IN UGANDA; 3. TO PREVENT AND RELIEVE POVERTY, IN THE UK AND IN UGANDA, BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS OR CHARITIES OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS TO ASSIST YOUNG PEOPLE TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH HORTICULTURE, AGRICULTURE, ENGINEERING, THE ARTS AND HEALTHCARE, IN ORDER FOR THEM TO GENERATE THEIR OWN INCOME AND BE SELF-SUFFICIENT FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES TO BENEFIT. 4. TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT IN THE UK OR IN UGANDA FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS, CHARITIES OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS.
