THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN COTSWOLD DISTRICT AND TEWKESBURY BOROUGH AREAS BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. 2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN OTHER AREAS OF THE UK BY WORKING COOPERATIVELY WITH OTHER FOODBANK CHARITIES TO DONATE OR RECEIVE SURPLUS FOOD STOCK WHERE THERE ARE SHORTAGES, OR IN CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE SURPLUS STOCK WOULD OTHERWISE BECOME OUT OF DATE AND UNUSABLE. OBJECT 2 IS RESTRICTED TO STOCK ONLY AND NO FISCAL ASSISTANCE WILL BE OFFERED OUTSIDE THE AREA DESCRIBED IN OBJECT 1 ABOVE. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008]
