Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE SOCIETY IS THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY (1) SUPPORTING AND ASSISTING AND IMPROVING THE GROSVENOR MUSEUM (AND THE BRANCH MUSEUMS) AND PROMOTING ITS USE AND ENJOYMENT BY THE PUBLIC. (2) ENCOURAGING, IN CLOSE ASSOCIATION WITH THE GROSVENOR MUSEUM, CULTURAL PURSUITS SUCH AS LOCAL HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND EXCAVATIONS, NATURAL HISTORY, THE STUDY OF THE FINE AND APPLIED ARTS AND PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE CHESTER AREA AND GENERALLY DOING ALL THINGS NECESSARY OR EXPEDIENT FOR THE DUE CONDUCT OF THE SOCIETY NOT HEREIN OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR.
