THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO SHALL BE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE LIVING AND/OR WORKING IN NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO MEMBERS OF THE TURKISH COMMUNITY AND ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING A COMMUNITY RESOURCE TO: A) SIGNPOST THE UNEMPLOYED TO THE RIGHT WELFARE BENEFITS AND PROVIDING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, B) HELPING WITH THE PLACEMENT ON TRAINING AND VOCATIONAL COURSES, C) PROVIDING GENERAL ASSISTANCE IN LIAISING WITH RELEVANT AUTHORITIES REGARDING DAY TO DAY LIVING ISSUES, D) PROVIDING ADVICE AND GUIDANCE ON HOUSING. 2) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE. 3) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION ABOUT ALL ASPECTS OF TURKISH ARTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE, IN PARTICULAR BY ORGANISING SPECIAL DAYS OF CELEBRATION AND THE PROMOTION OF ANNUAL FESTIVALS TO THAT END AND THE PROVISION OF LESSONS IN TURKISH, ENGLISH AND ARABIC. 4) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
