Mamas in need was formed to help vulnerable and disadvantaged pregnant women and babies in the villages in Africa in particular but not exclusively to prevent maternal and infant mortality. Mamas in need provide services, equipment and other necessary items directed at improving their pre-natal and postnatal conditions of life. Mamas in need raise awareness of domestic violence and FGM.

Charitable objects
1. TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF PREGNANT WOMEN, BOTH DURING AND AFTER BIRTH, IN RURAL VILLAGES IN AFRICA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH THE FOLLOWING: A) PROVIDING SERVICES, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER NECESSARY ITEMS DIRECTED AT IMPROVING THEIR PRE-NATAL AND POST-NATAL CONDITIONS OF LIFE. B) PROVIDING TRAINING AND EDUCATING MIDWIVES ON BASIC MATERNITY CARE. C) PROVIDING EQUIPMENT AND OTHER SUPPORT TO MEDICAL CENTRES WHO PROVIDE MATERNITY TREATMENT. 2. TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF WOMEN IN RURAL VILLAGES IN AFRICA BY RAISING AWARENESS AND PROVIDING EDUCATION IN MATTERS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION AND OTHER RELATED SUBJECTS.
