Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF THE FAMILIES WHO HAVE SUFFERED BABY LOSS OR BEREAVEMENT BY:- A. ADVANCING EXISTING KNOWLEDGE TO HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS AND STUDENTS VIA CONFERENCES, IN GROUPS AND ONE TO ONE; WHICHEVER IS MOST APPROPRIATE; AND B. USE OF UP TO DATE RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS TO EDUCATE WITH REGARDS TO BEREAVEMENT CARE AND STILLBIRTH PREVENTION BY REGULARLY MAINTAINING RESEARCH RECORDS. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
