At the core of our thinking is to provide opportunity for our beneficiaries, and to allow them to move forward as better, more rounded people.

Charitable objects
THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS ARE RESTRICTED SPECIFICALLY, IN EACH CASE ONLY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION: 1. AMONG PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, UNEMPLOYMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT, OR AS A RESULT OF THE IMPACT OF CONFLICT, BY WORKING WITH THEM TO RELIEVE THEIR NEEDS AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (A) PROVIDING EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE SUBJECTS OF READING, WRITING, ARITHMETIC AND THEIR LOCAL LANGUAGE, AND IN VOCATIONAL SKILLS TO ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY; (B) ENGAGING IN REGENERATION ACTIVITIES TO CHANGE AND IMPROVE THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES; (C) HELPING TO PROVIDE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES WHICH THEY WOULD NOT OTHERWISE HAVE IN ORDER TO BUILD CAPABILITIES AND TO ENABLE FULL PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY; AND (D) ADVANCING THEIR EDUCATION BY AWARDING GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION. 2. BY PREVENTING PEOPLE WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED (WHETHER AS A RESULT OF BEING WOUNDED WHILST SERVING OR OTHERWISE), RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHERE THEY HAVE ALREADY BECOME SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING THEM WITH VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES TO BUILD THEIR CAPACITY AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THEIR CAPABILITIES.
