Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (‘THE OBJECTS’) ARE TO MAKE GRANTS TO ADVANCE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO; (A) PROMOTING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. (B) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND OVERSEAS BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. (C) TO ASSIST IN THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILLNESS OF ANY DESCRIPTION OR IN NEED OF REHABILITATION AS A RESULT OF SUCH ILLNESS, BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR WORK AND RECREATION AND MAKING GRANTS TO FURTHER MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN THIS AREA. (D) THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ARTS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. (E) FOR OR TOWARDS SAVING LIVES AT SEA.
