Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS: TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH PEOPLE IN LEEDS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AS A RESULT OF HOMELESSNESS OR THE RISK OF HOMELESSNESS, TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY ESTABLISHING A DROP-IN CENTRE PROVIDING FOOD, DRINK, REPLACEMENT CLOTHING, ITEMS OF FURNITURE, HOUSEHOLD ACCESSORIES, BATHING FACILITIES, COMPANIONSHIP, A SIGNPOSTING SERVICE, ASSISTANCE TO DEVELOP LIFE SKILLS IN LITERACY, NUMERACY, IT AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT TO DEAL WITH SUBSTANCE ADDICTIONS AND TO BOOST SELF-ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH ENGAGING IN MEANINGFUL RECREATIONAL PURSUITS AND THERAPIES. NOTHING IN THESE ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANY STATUTORY PROVISION REGARDING THE MEANING OF THE WORD "CHARITABLE" OR THE WORDS "CHARITABLE PURPOSES" IN FORCE IN ANY PART OF THE UNITED KINGDOM.
