THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS, IN PARTICULAR THE ART OF FILM AND ALLIED VISUAL TECHNIQUES BY THE SCREENING OF FILMS OF ARTISTIC MERIT AND STAGING LECTURES, DISCUSSIONS, FESTIVALS AND EXHIBITIONS WITH THE AIM OF PROMOTING THE STUDY AND APPRECIATION OF FILM.
