(I) PROVIDING FUNDING TO STUDENTS UNDERTAKING STUDIES AT LEEDS UNIVERSITY TO OBTAIN A DOCTORATE (DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY) IN CHEMISTRY OR SIMILAR SCIENTIFIC STUDIES.
(II) FUNDING THE CARRYING OUT OF MEDICAL RESEARCH AT ST JAMES'S UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL LEEDS, THE USEFUL RESULTS OF WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED.
