Aspire Creating Communities delivers a network weekly of creative community groups across West Yorkshire, to promote social inclusion and mental well-being. Aspire works in partnership with other local community services to support older people experiencing isolation, bereavement, loss of role or mental health difficulties through an Occupational Therapist lead programme of creative activities.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: • TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG OLDER PEOPLE LIVING IN HUDDERSFIELD, KIRKLEES AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF ACTIVITY SESSIONS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS AND A CONNECTED BEFRIENDING SERVICE AND ADVICE, INFORMATION AND SIGNPOSTING TO OTHER RELEVANT AND APPROPRIATE SERVICES TO ADDRESS LONELINESS AND SOCIAL ISOLATION ARISING AS A RESULT OF THEIR AGE, INFIRMITY, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCE. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, YOUTH OR OLD AGE; AND ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL).
