Activities - how the charity spends its money
Girls Who Code offers free, 2-week virtual summer programs to girls and non binary students to learn computer science. Girls learn HTML, CSS, Python, and Javascript while also engaging with partners to hear from women in tech, participate in resume workshops, do virtual office tours, and more. The program has proved highly effective and is offered in both synchronous and asynchronous models.

3.1.1 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF WOMEN AND GIRLS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) BY: 3.1.1.1 OFFERING CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS IN COMPUTER CODING TO SCHOOL AGE GIRLS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM; 3.1.1.2 PROVIDING PUBLICLY AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES AND OTHER FORMS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO WOMEN AND GIRLS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, TO BE USED FOR TRAINING AND EDUCATION IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, EXPOSURE TO A VARIETY OF PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES AND SYSTEMS), AND COMPUTER SCIENCE-RELATED FIELDS (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS) (COLLECTIVELY, "CS"); AND 3.1.1.3 PROVIDING BOOKS, EQUIPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL AIDS TO STUDENTS ATTENDING COMPUTER SCIENCE TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES; 3.1.2 TO PROMOTE AND MAINTAIN FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT HIGH STANDARDS OF PRACTICE AMONG WOMEN IN THE FIELD OF CS, INCLUDING BY, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DEVELOPING AND PROVIDING TRAINING PROGRAMMES FOR, AND PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE TRAINING OF, WOMEN AND GIRLS IN CS; AND 3.1.3 TO INCREASE THE REPRESENTATION OF WOMEN IN CS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, BY PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT-RELATED SKILLS-TRAINING PROGRAMMES, WORKSHOPS AND MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO SCHOOL AGE GIRLS.
