THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:
TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:
(I) SUPPORTING AND PROMOTING THE TEACHING OF CITIZENSHIP; AND
(II) PROMOTING RESEARCH INTO, AND THE STUDY OF, THE FULL AND EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION OF CITIZENS, ESPECIALLY YOUNG PEOPLE, IN SOCIETY AND TO PUBLISH THE RESULTS THEREOF.
