Charitable objects
THE OBJECTIVE OF THE BAND SHALL BE TO MAINTAIN, IMPROVE, AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND ITS MEMBERS THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF, EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF GOOD MUSIC OF ALL KINDS AMONGST PERSONS OF ALL AGES. IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS, THE BAND SHALL EXIST TO FOSTER THE SKILLS OF YOUNG MUSICIANS, PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES AND FACILITIES FOR THE PERFORMANCE AND APPRECIATION OF MUSIC, ARRANGE FOR MUSICAL, THEATRICAL, AND OTHER PERFORMANCES, AND TO PROMOTE AND PRESENT DEMONSTRATIONS AND EXHIBITIONS OF ALL TYPES OF MUSIC AND THE ARTS AND ANY OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES IN ITS ABSOLUTE DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE. THE BAND, IF OR WHEN THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST OR DEMAND, WILL SET UP AND RUN A SECONDARY BAND (B BAND) TO SUPPORT AND FEED INTO THE MAIN BAND (AS NAMED AS THE CIO), TO BENEFIT MORE YOUNG PLAYERS, PROVIDING ACCESS TO ENSEMBLE PLAYING, GROUP TUITION, AND PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE. IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS OBJECTIVES, THE BAND WILL RUN PROJECTS SUCH AS THE B BAND TO EXTEND ITS REACH AND INFLUENCE AMONGST THE COMMUNITY, AND TO HELP RECRUIT PLAYERS. THE BAND WILL MAINTAIN A PROJECT USING THE NAME ÆFORMBY BANDÆ TO BE USED FOR ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCES AS AND WHEN DEEMED APPROPRIATE BY THE TRUSTEES, TO REFLECT AND CELEBRATE THE BANDS HISTORY PRIOR TO INCORPORATION, AND TO SATISFY MANY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SEFTON DISTRICT OF MERSEYSIDE.
