THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:
THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE OPERATIONAL AREA COVERED BY THE EAST MIDLANDS AMBULANCE SERVICE BY PROVIDING IMMEDIATE MEDICAL TREATMENT AND CARE, FACILITATED BY TRAINED VOLUNTEERS, TO PERSONS IN NEED AND MEDICAL AND FIRST AID COVER AND TRAINING AT COMMUNITY EVENTS.
