THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR SOCIAL AND/OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE LIFE CHANCES AND OPPORTUNITIES OF SUCH PERSONS.
