Charitable objects
ADVANCEMENT OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC RELIGION: THOSE EVENTS ARE DEEMED TO BE SUCCESSFUL THAT ENABLE MEMBERS TO DEEPEN THEIR OWN COMMITMENT AND HAVE INFLUENCE ON OTHER PEOPLE TO RECOGNISE AND EMBRACE THE VALUES OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. WE HAVE OPEN MEETINGS TO WHICH ENQUIRERS ABOUT OUR WAY OF LIFE ARE INVITED; ONE ENQUIRER WHO ATTENDED SEVERAL MEETINGS DURING THIS REPORTING YEAR SUBSEQUENTLY BECAME A CATHOLIC AND IS NOW ACTIVE IN HER LOCAL COMMUNITY. TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN PROMOTING HARMONY AND PEACE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES [PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS] PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON GOD AND JESUS, TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION. DEVELOPMENT OF SPIRITUAL VALUES: SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE INSTITUTE HAVE A MINISTRY OF SPIRITUAL DIRECTION, IN WHICH WE ACCOMPANY PEOPLE FROM VARIOUS CHRISTIAN TRADITIONS IN DEEPENING THEIR FAITH. OTHERS ANIMATE GROUPS, FOR EXAMPLE A GROUP REFLECTING ON THE TEACHING OF POPE FRANCIS IN ÆLAUDATO SIÆ, PUBLISHED IN 2015, EXPLORING ISSUES OF JUSTICE AND CARE IN PRACTICAL WAYS OF CARING FOR ALL PEOPLES OF THE WORLD AND FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT. SPREAD OF THE CHRISTIAN VALUES OF CARING FOR THE NEEDY: THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, HEALTHCARE PROJECTS AND ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORT DESIGNED TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME AND BE SELF-SUFFICIENT. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD BY PROVIDING: ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY PROMOTING JUSTICE AND PEACE. WE TAKE CARE WHEN INVESTING TO SELECT ETHICAL ORGANISATIONS. MEMBERSÆ PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS SUPPORT CHARITIES PROMOTING JUSTICE AND PEACE. MEMBERS ALSO TAKE PART IN CIVIC AND COMMUNITY GROUPS PROMOTING SOCIAL JUSTICE. THESE ACTIVITIES, AND THE MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS MADE BY MEMBERS TO CHARITIES, REFLECT THE WAYS IN WHICH WE SEEK TO ACHIEVE OUR OBJECTIVES OF ADVANCEMENT OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC RELIGION, THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPIRITUAL VALUES OF CARING FOR THE NEEDY AND PROMOTING JUSTICE AND PEACE, IN THE MANY DIFFERENT SETTINGS IN WHICH WE WORK AND LIVE.
