Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (A) THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF YOUTH BY PROVIDING GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES CONCERNED WITH THE CARE, UPBRINGING OR ESTABLISHMENT IN LIFE OF CHILDREN OR YOUNG PEOPLE; (B) THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS, DISEASE OR HUMAN SUFFERING BY PROVIDING GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES THAT: (I) PROVIDE MEDICAL TREATMENT, CARE AND HEALING, SUCH AS HOSPITALS AND HEALING CENTRES; (II) UNDERTAKE MEDICAL RESEARCH; AND (C) SUCH OTHER GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE (TOGETHER, THE "OBJECTS"). 3.2 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005.
