TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH AND TO RELIEVE SICKNESS OF PATIENTS RESIDING PERMANENTLY OR TEMPORARILY IN PAKISTAN WHO ARE SUFFERING LIFE LIMITING ILLNESSES BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, SUPPORT SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL (AND PARTICULARLY AMONGST DOCTORS) ON THE SUBJECT OF PALLIATIVE CARE; TO PROMOTE RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THAT SUBJECT AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS; AND TO DEVELOP A SERVICE ORIENTATED AND TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN TO HELP PROVIDE COMPASSIONATE PALLIATIVE CARE FOR PATIENTS LIVING WITH A LIFE-LIMITING ILLNESS AND THEIR FAMILIES, THROUGH PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, SPIRITUAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL SUPPORT.”
