Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE GROUP SHALL BE: THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AND IN PARTICULAR THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND GENDER IDENTITY BY:- ? RAISING AWARENESS AMONG THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE ISSUES AND DIFFICULTIES AFFECTING THE LIVES OF LESBIAN,GAY,BISEXUAL AND THE TRANSGENDER (LGBT) PEOPLE; ? CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY IN PARTICULAR THROUGH CELEBRATING THE DIVERSITY OF THE LGBT COMMUNITY; AND ? STAGING AN ANNUAL LGBT FESTIVAL IN WAKEFIELD AND SMALLER EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE AREA. 2.2? THE GROUP SHALL SEEK TO ACHIEVE THESE OBJECTS BY: ? ACTIVELY PROMOTE THE SERVICE THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF THE MEMBERS ? TO NETWORK WITH ALTERNATIVE SUPPORT SYSTEMS. ? PROMOTE OUR ACHIEVEMENTS WITH OTHER COMMUNITY GROUPS, SERVICES AND AGENCIES. ? TO ENCOURAGE LOCAL BUSINESS, STATUTORY BODIES AND CHARITIES TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR SUPPORT. ? ENSURING THE GROUP CONDUCTS ITS FINANCIAL AFFAIRS OPENLY AND RECORD ALL TRANSACTIONS IN A PROPER AND ACCOUNTABLE MANNER. ? ORGANISE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FUNDRAISING ? TO GIVE OPPORTUNITY TO THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY TO OWN THE GROUP. ? TO ORGANISE A PARADE OF FLOATS/ORGANISATIONS THROUGH THE CITY CENTRE. ? TO PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT FROM A WIDE VARIETY OF CULTURES IN THE FORM OF MUSIC/DANCE/ARTS IN THE LOCAL VENUES. ? TO PROMOTE A FUN FAMILY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY EVENT.
