THE OBJECT OF THE CIO SHALL BE THE PROVISION, OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION - IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE - OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION FOR PEOPLE WITH AND WITHOUT PHYSICAL DISABILITIES RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF TORQUAY. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECT, BUT NOT FURTHER OR OTHERWISE, THE CIO SHALL HAVE THE POWER TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE OBJECTS OF THE CLUB AND TO DO ANY LAWFUL THINGS THAT MAY BE CONDUCIVE TO THE ATTAINMENT OF THE FOREGOING OBJECT.
