THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY ANYWHERE IN ENGLAND BY PROVIDING GRANTS, ITEMS, SUPPLIES, OR SUCH OTHER MEANS, AS THE TRUSTEES DETERMINE, TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY.
