Charitable objects

THE OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION SHALL BE TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES ATTENDING HENSINGHAM CENTRE, WHITEHAVEN, CUMBRIA, BY THE PROVISION OF TRANSPORT AND OTHER FACILITIES AND SPECIALIST ITEMS (NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY) AND BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITY, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, STAFF OF THE CENTRE AND THE PARENTS, GUARDIANS AND FRIENDS OF PERSONS ATTENDING THE CENTRE IN A COMMON EFFORT TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE SAID PERSONS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES
