THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE 1. TO PROMOTE THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND THE SAVING OF LIVES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY ADVANCING THE EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHERS IN THE COMMUNITY CONCERNING ISSUES OF KNIFE CRIME AND THE NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THOSE AFFECTED BY IT; 2. TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR CAPABILITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
