1-THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGION, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY RAISING AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF ISLAMIC BELIEFS AND PRACTICES, ESPECIALLY THE ARABIC LANGUAGE AND THE QURAN. 2-TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF BERKSHIRE AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, AND ABIDING WITH THE EQUALITY ACT (2010) AND WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS. 3-TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH PEOPLE IN BERKSHIRE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, AND FEEL ISOLATED, ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEF OR CREED (IN PARTICULAR, MEMBERS OF THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY) TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING A LOCAL NETWORK GROUP THAT ENCOURAGES AND ENABLES MEMBERS OF THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY. 4-THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG COMMUNITIES LIVING IN BERKSHIRE; IN PARTICULAR, THOSE FLEEING WAR ZONES AND SEEKING REFUGE IN ENGLAND BY PROVIDING GUIDANCE, ADVICE, EMOTIONAL AND MATERIAL SUPPORT AND SIGNPOSTING TO SOURCES OF HELP WITH HEALTH, HOUSING, EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT.
