THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT BY ENGAGING IN PROJECTS DESIGNED TO MITIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE AND ITS EFFECTS AND TO PROMOTE BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND ITS MITIGATION AND TO PROMOTE RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THAT SUBJECT AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS.
