3) THE OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE CENTRE IS ESTABLISHED ARE: A) TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM ANY FORM OF MENTAL ILLNESS OR DISORDER WHO ARE RESIDENT IN GREATER MANCHESTER OR CHESHIRE BY THE PROVISION OF A DAY CENTRE AND SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY WITH A VIEW TO ASSISTING SUCH PERSONS SO THAT HE OR SHE MAY ADJUST MORE FULLY TO SOCIETY AND ESTABLISH OR RE-ESTABLISH PERMANENT RELATIONSHIPS. B) TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION SAFE-GUARDING AND MENTAL HEALTH OF THE SAID PERSONS.
