Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS HEDGEHOGS IN NOTTINGHAM AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY PROVIDING FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR HEDGEHOGS WHO ARE IN NEED OF RESCUE, CARE AND ATTENTION THROUGH SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USE AND ENSURING THE SAFE RELEASE OF REHABILITATED HEDGEHOGS TO THEIR NATURAL HABITATS WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE SURVIVAL RATE OF THE SPECIES. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC CONCERNING HEDGEHOG WELFARE AND CONSERVATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION AND ADVICE DESIGNED TO INCREASE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEEDS OF HEDGEHOGS IN THEIR NATURAL HABITATS WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE SURVIVAL RATE OF THE SPECIES.
