Charitable objects
The objects of the CIO are:
(1) to advance the education of the public in the history, archaeology, and natural science of the Isles of Scilly;
(2) promote the study and understanding of the islands' heritage by the provision and maintenance of a museum to serve as an educational and cultural resource for the local community and the general public; and
(3) the advancement of the arts, culture and heritage across the archipelago of the Isles of Scilly including, but not limited to, the establishment and provision of an exhibition amenity and general cultural centre for the benefit and education of the residents of the Isles of Scilly and visitors to the area to promote and encourage an interest in the arts, culture and heritage of the Isles of Scilly.
