(A) TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC STUDY OF BRITISH FAMILY HISTORY, GENEALOGY, HERALDRY AND LOCAL HISTORY WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO NOTTINGHAMSHIRE. (B) TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION, SECURTIY AND ACCESSABILITY OF ARCHIVAL MATERIAL.
