THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY, PRIMARILY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE UK, BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO YOUNG PEOPLE IN NEED, WHO ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 AND HAVE LOST ONE OR BOTH PARENTS, AND CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY.
