Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND THE SAVING OF LIVES, IN PARTICULAR IN THE NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND, BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF GUIDANCE, SUPPORT AND COUNSELLING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE CONSIDERED OR ARE CONSIDERING SUICIDE AND FOR THOSE BEREAVED BY SUICIDE. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN RELATION TO THE EARLY SIGNS OF SUICIDAL BEHAVIOUR AND EFFECTIVE INTERVENTIONS BY THE PROVISION OF TRAINING AND EDUCATION, IN PARTICULAR, APPLIED SUICIDE INTERVENTION SKILLS TRAINING (ASIST).
