THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF DONKEYS AND OTHER EQUINES IN SUCH PARTS OF THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE WHO ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE BY PROVIDING FUNDING, FACILITIES AND RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE PROVISION OF APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR SUCH ANIMALS, AND THEIR SAFE REHOMING WHERE APPROPRIATE.
