Activities - how the charity spends its money
BRIC supports the unemplyed community of South East Northumberland by providing a varied education programme to suit all abilities. A full employment support service is also provided which incorporates all aspects of employability and a drop in facility to enable people to access a computer to search and apply for work. 10 self run interest groups also regularly meet at the centre to share skills.

Charitable objects
(I) TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE RELIEF OF NEED AMONG YOUNG AND OTHER UNEMPLOYED AND OR NEEDY PERSONS IN THE BLYTH VALLEY AREA THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SUCH TRAINING FACILITIES AS WOULD ENABLE SUCH PERSONS TO ACQUIRE WORK EXPERIENCE AND DEVELOP VOCATIONAL SKILLS (SAVE IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR A PERIOD NOT EXCEEDING TWO YEARS IN THE CASE OF ANY ONE INDIVIDUAL). (II) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AFORESAID AREA WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITY, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, INDUSTRIAL BODIES AND THE INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROMOTE A COMMON EFFORT TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
