THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO RELIEVE PERSONS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS AS A RESULT OF A NATURAL OR OTHER DISASTER OR EMERGENCY, TO PROMOTE PUBLIC SAFETY AND TO PROTECT THE LIVES AND PROPERTY OF RESIDENTS OF DONCASTER, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS, PROPERTY SERVICES AND THE PROVISION OF HOUSEHOLD GOODS.
