THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:
TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT AND STUDY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AMONG THOSE FOR WHOM ENGLISH IS NOT THE FIRST LANGUAGE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF LANGUAGE TUITION, COURSES, WORKSHOPS AND MEETINGS.
