Activities - how the charity spends its money
We manage participation in schools level international competitive debate across England, and work to increase participation and representation in debating across schools. Through our programmes we develop young people, ultimately selecting the England Schools Debating Team, for participation in the World Schools Debating Championships, increasing international understanding through debate.

TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION (INCLUDING THE MENTAL, SOCIAL AND MORAL TRAINING) OF PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 25 FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, IN PARTICULAR BY (THOUGH NOT LIMITED TO): TRAINING AND FINANCIALLY SUPPORTING PUPILS AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN ENGLAND AND WALES, OPENLY SELECTED ON MERIT, TO TAKE PART IN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL EVENTS INVOLVING DEBATING AND PUBLIC SPEAKING ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 25 IN GENERAL IN THE SUBJECTS OF DEBATING AND PUBLIC SPEAKING, INCLUDING BY PREPARING THE WIDEST POSSIBLE RANGE OF SECONDARY SCHOOL PUPILS IN ENGLAND AND WALES TO TAKE PART IN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL EVENTS INVOLVING DEBATING AND PUBLIC SPEAKING ASSISTING, ENCOURAGING AND INSPIRING PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 25 IN GENERAL TO DEVELOP THEIR MENTAL, SOCIAL AND MORAL CAPABILITIES THROUGH DEBATING AND PUBLIC SPEAKING.
