Charitable objects
2.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: 2.1.1 TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF ELDERLY PEOPLE IN ANY MANNER WHICH NOW IS OR HEREINAFTER MAY BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE WITHIN HASTINGS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE “THE AREA OF BENEFIT”) AND IN PARTICULAR TO PROVIDE A DAY CARE CENTRE; AND 2.1.2 TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.
