THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO RELIEVE THE POVERTY, ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF CHILDREN LIVING IN IVORY COAST AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF WEST AFRICA AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE WHO HAVE BEEN ORPHANED, OR WHO ARE FROM POOR BACKGROUNDS THAT ARE UNABLE TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FOOD, CLOTHING, MEDICATION, ACCOMMODATION AND SUPPORT WITH ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL TUITION. 2) THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS LIVING IN LEICESTER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, BY PROVIDING INTERPRETATION/TRANSLATION AND FORM FILLING SERVICES TO ASSIST THEM TO ADAPT TO LIFE WITHIN A NEW COMMUNITY. 3) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS AND THEIR DEPENDENTS LIVING IN LEICESTER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING ITEMS, CLOTHING, FOOD AND GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.
