TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON PLAYING THE VIOLIN, VIOLA AND CELLO BY GIVING ASSISTANCE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOUNG VIOLINISTS, VIOLISTS AND CELLISTS BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS AND RECITALS, THE MAKING OF GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO SCHOOLS OF MUSIC, TO OTHER ORGANISATIONS, TO INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS AND TO OTHER YOUNG PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS.
