Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 3.1.1 THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF PHYSICAL AND HEALTH THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF PSYCHOANALYSIS, AND THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE FIELD OF PSYCHOANALYSIS; 3.1.2 THE PROMOTION OF THE ARTS; AND 3.1.3 THE PROMOTION OF SUCH PURPOSES AS SHALL BE CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. 3.2 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND)ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
