Charitable objects
FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE, ‘GENDER IDENTITY’ MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL’S PERCEPTION OF THEIR GENDER AND THE GENDER BY WHICH THEY REFER TO THEMSELVES AND ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, ON THE GROUNDS OF GENDER IDENTITY. THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST PEOPLE WHO ARE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED AS A RESULT OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF GENDER IDENTITY. 2. TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. 3. TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IN PARTICULAR THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF GENDER IDENTITY INCLUDING WHERE GENDER IDENTITY IS DIFFERENT FROM A PERSON’S SEX AT BIRTH, BY. A) ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY; AND B) CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY.”
