THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE THE MENTAL HEALTH OF THOSE WORKING, PRIMARILY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE SECTORS, AND IN PARTICULAR NURSES, BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND SUPPORT, AND ENABLING THEM TO ACCESS APPROPRIATE COUNSELLING AND SELF-COPING TECHNIQUES, OR BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES DETERMINE.
