Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THOSE BETWEEN THE AGES OF EIGHT AND EIGHTEEN WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND WHO ARE EITHER CURRENT OR PAST PUPILS OF STALHAM HIGH SCHOOL AND STALHAM ACADEMY, NORTH EAST NORFOLK, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS IN THE NORMAL CATCHMENT AREA OF THE SCHOOLS. IF THERE ARE INSUFFICIENT APPLICANTS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE TWO SCHOOLS, ELIGIBLE YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE WITHIN THE TWO STALHAM SCHOOLS’ CATCHMENT AREAS THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE TO WIDEN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR GRANTS WITHIN NORTH EAST NORFOLK. [NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
