Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (A) TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS (THE UNCRC) THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, IN PARTICULAR THE CHILDÆS RIGHT TO PLAY, LEISURE AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES, BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: (I) PROVIDING TECHNICAL ADVICE TO GOVERNMENT AND OTHERS; (II) PROMOTING PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR THE UNCRC; (III) PROMOTING RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AMONG INDIVIDUALS AND CORPORATIONS. (B) TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PLAY, RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THE WORLD WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
