Charitable objects
FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AND AS A PRACTICAL EXPRESSION OF THE ISLAMIC FAITH, TO ADVANCE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO CHARITIES AND ORGANISATIONS WHO FOCUS ON: 2.1 THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF PROGRAMS THAT SPECIFICALLY TARGET THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AS WELL AS ADULTS, THROUGH INFRASTRUCTURE, TRAINING AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMMES. 2.2 TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY IN THE UK IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY. 2.3 THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: * PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN DIFFERENT RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS; * ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT DIFFERENT RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS; * WORKING TOWARDS THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE OR RELIGION. 2.4 THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF: * RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF WAR OR NATURAL DISASTER, TROUBLE, OR CATASTROPHE IN PARTICULAR BY THE SUPPLY OF MEDICAL AID TO SUCH PERSONS; * GOODS/SERVICES TO THOSE IN POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS; * EDUCATION, TRAINING, HEALTHCARE PROJECTS AND ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORT DESIGNED TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME AND BE SELF-SUFFICIENT. 2.5 TO ASSIST IN THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILLNESS OF ANY DESCRIPTION OR IN NEED OF REHABILITATION AS A RESULT OF SUCH ILLNESS, BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR WORK AND RECREATION. 2.6 SUCH OTHER PURPOSES WHICH MAY BE CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES.
